About Us

The mission at Make Momma Proud is to inspire, support, encourage, and help develop youth to fulfill their life goals after they have suffered the tremendous loss of a parent.

We look to assist bereaved children but are not limited to helping children coping with a loss from the passing of a parent. We would like to assist children that have and are dealing with a loss of a parent due to other circumstances like incarceration, mental and physical health disabilities, drug abuse, and/or parental abandonment.

We seek to be a pillar of motivation and inspiration in effort to help our clients become successful at achieving all future goals and aspirations. We look towards partnerships with the guardians and family members involved with the continual nurturing of our clients future. By providing educational mentoring and grief counseling support we hope to achieve our goal and the future aspirations of our clients affected by this tragedy.

Let your negative situations, become your ammunition for greatness

History

In 2011 our Founder and Executive Director Heike Jones, dealt with the sudden loss of her mother at the age of 23. It was at that point in her life, she decided to turn her grief into a positive outlet to help others cope with the same tragedy. Providing grief support and assistance with achieving aspirational life goals for the youth has been her main priority with this organization.
